rome -- beginning till the end

okay shall update about the happenings these few days.
got time now. cause im in the apartment.
with nothing to do.
cause its raining.
n many shops are closed.
only 7pm here.


------23RD NOVEMBER------
landed in rome with my mum, uncle, auntie.
took a skytrain to the arrival area.
there, my aunt n uncle was already waiting for us.
they're italians, were there to pick us up.
an hour later, my usa auntie n 2cousins came.
then we went to a hotel, checked in.
went for lunch after that.
i ate lasagne. it was nice but abit too cheesy.
got sick of it after a few mouths.


after lunch we went to the colosseum.
took many pictures there. n one of them was like a postcard shot. lol.
after that went to a place called spanish steps for shopping and dinner.
there were couples kissing everywhere man.
it was 9pm. but i was already ko-ed as 9pm in italy means 4am in singapore.
was suffering from jetlag.
got pissed off when my camera died on me.
back to the hotel next. bathed. ko-ed instantly.


------24TH NOVEMBER------
had an awesome breakfast at the hotel today.
totally awesome man the egg was like from macs big breakfast.


then went sightseeing. abit boring though. walk here walk there bought nothing forgot what i saw. lol.


then went for lunch. went to this chinese restaurant.
food wasnt really nice.
the restaurant's bgm was guzheng melody.
dont think too much of that ah. lol.
n i ate popiah.
dont bother finding out what that means.
only buddy knows :) n some others too i guess.
during lunch, started to rain heavily.
umbrellas were everywhere.


continued sightseeing.
took many pics.


shopping next.
bought myself 2tees.
total around 18euros.
cheap n nice.


then went for dinner.
had a great dinner at a restaurant near d hotel.
best meal so far.
drank wine there.
my mum took one glass n she got drunk =.= lol.


back at the hotel lobby, had a supposed-to-be-a-surprise birthday celebration for me.
but apparently i already knew what they were gonna do the night before.
but still, was very appreciative lah.
d cake cost 60euros wtf.
had more wine there.
mum drunk even more lmao.
played cards with my cousins.
then went up to sleep as it was already 12plusplus.


------25TH NOVEMBER------
same awesome breakfast this morning. then took a bus to vatican city.
scenery there was awesome.
the buildings and surroundings were simply magnificent man.
had super expensive lunch there.
100euros for some stuffs. not for me only of course.
but still totally not worth it.


walked around after lunch, then it suddenly became damn boring.
i came to this realization, that apart from the nice buildings there to see, n apart from taking pictures, there was nothing else to do man seriously.


got out of vatican city hours later. [FINALLY MAN GOD DAMNIT]
bought this gatorade drink. 500ml. 3.50euros = 7singapore dollars.
wtf man so bloody expensive.


headed to spanish steps for shopping after that.
stepped into pro shops like...
dior, wessaintlauren, gucci, prada, damiani, bvlgari, angeletti, lv, giorgio armani, salvatore ferragamo, valentino, maxmara, mont blanc, hermes, burberry, dolce&gabbana.
one gucci beanie cost 300sing lololol.
n i made a burberry staff angry sia.
she was adjusting the carpet at the main door then i just casually walked over it.
her face instantly became black like dunno wad sia. LOL.
didnt walk over on purpose lah. haha.
oh yeah. went to the biggest zara in the world man.
it was like 100m by 30m.
whats more it had 2storeys.
one for men, another for women.
they even had a lift inside sia. lol.
started raining when night fell.
umbrellas were out everywhere again.


went to an internet cafe after shopping.
blogged.


back at hotel, played cards with my cousins.
n the zee monster begins its attack......



okay thats it for rome.
was in rome for three days only.
will update on venice tmr.
now waiting for sheilala to come online.
its 230am in singapore.
but she says she'll be online till 5.
but until now still no sign of her yet :(

VENICE

i just realised, venice is boring.
there are no things to sightsee.
im sick of italian food.
the act-yi1-ge4 cheena restaurants here suck like hell.
n shopping sucks. the stuff here are so expensive.
so is the food.
italy really got a damn high SOL [standard of living] sia.
av one plate of spaghetti 20bucks =.=
hot chocolate costs 10bucks.
comparing with italy, singapore's stuff suddenly becomes all so much cheaper.
the 10dollar ramen from ajisen ramen seems so reasonable now.
thats like 5euros only lah.
5euros here cant buy any main course at all.
oh ya you know what.
people in italy, they have primary course and secondary course.
primary course is like spaghetti, calamari, lasagne.
secondary course is like whole chicken, pork cutlet, seabass etc.
av one meal is like 40sing dollars.
cham liao lor at this rate im eating, next year when i go back to collect my results, i'll be branded a fatty. lol.

venice is so boring. n im gonna be staying here for 3more days.

VENICE

arrived in venice today.
the scenery was awesome man.
it was like in the ss textbook.
no even nicer. lol.
the river had a fishy smell though. =X
actually venice is better than rome.
cause the hotel's here have wifi. :D
n my auntie n cousin's got their laptops.
so theres 2coms for usage :D
temperature's freezing.
currently 2degrees.
maybe tmr snow leh :D
everything here is water.
water bus. water taxi.
havent been able to see many shops yet.
cause arrived at 4pm today.
by the time check in, slack around, 5pm le.
then it became dark.
then all the shops started closing.
anyway really tired now.
although its only 10pm.
ko-ed already.

im at some internet cafe in italy with my american cousins now.
desperate to come online. so here i am.
its 2139hours here. 25th november.
singapore's 0439hours. 26th november.
currently sort of jetlagging.
italy's management sucks man.
seriously.
the hotels do not have any free wireless.
at least there are internet cafes all around. lol.
past few days ive been staying in rome, sightseeing, eating, growing fat.
no kidding im alot fatter now.
everyday pasta, pizza, pasta, pizza.
im sick of italian food already.
went to the colosseum, n some other pro historical buildings.
oh yeah went to vactican city today :D
apart for the nice buildings, it was quite boring though.
dont wanna post in detail now, lazy recall what happened. psps. =X

oh yeah. n its freezing here man.
esp during the night.
n esp when it rains.

long post coming up.

ytd morning, went to meet choy at 9.

took 89 to downtown east.

then 5 to amir's house [changi]

reached there at around 10.

yuanhao was there the night before.

commed, playstation-ed, movie-ed.

watched 13 ghosts. okok lah d show. not bad.

then went swimming at around 230.

stayed in the pool till around 4.

then went back to amir's house cause it was raining. 

he stays in a condo so the pool was quite near to his house lah.

bathed and started to get ready for prom.

choy became hairstylist sia.

he styled yuanhao's hair and straightened it for him.

n for the first time, yuanhao got straight fringe lol.

tried the straightener too. really damn good sia. haha.

then at 545 amir's dad sent us to orchard hotel.

missed the cocktail reception as there was a jam.

but no diff lah. cocktail reception no cocktail only got ppl talking =.=

met terance there. registered. then went in.

d ballroom was damn small sia.

n d lame thing was we were allocated where to sit.

but in the end all ended up changing here n there.

n finally, the emcee came. so prom was officially started by mdm liew.

there was lucky draws, games, and of course, food.

worst thing of all, there was mdm liew's speech with her usual philosophies =.=

n there was this sms thing.

u sms "name: msg" to 94490608, n ur msg will appear on two screens in the ballroom for everyone to see.

many ppl msged lame stuff.

for example, marcus msged "marcus: tan sing wen, why did u flirt with............ hehehehehe :)"

wth sia. like when they announce the sms thing, immediately i thought that marcus would do that. 

n sure enough, he did =.=

then another guy poser me "TSW: i did not flirt with ming er lah"

then there was the grad night video.

we were all in cris's mum's room.

then we posed for a photo.

n it appeared in the grad night trailer. lol.

the actual grad night video was good lah.

but personally, i thought it was far too short.

we graduating liao then video only 5mins plusplus.

planned to ton the whole night.

we went to tcc near wheelock.

ordered bloody expensive drinks there.

i got oreo milkshake. 7.70. but it was damn solid lah.

could say quite worth it i guess.

then terance joined us. finish pattor liao then come find friend. lol.

we called billy they all. they were at far east.

so we went there find them.

reach there liao, they said they were at cine =.=

then walked there.

went to 8th floor to find them.

they were outside kbox.

duno whether to karaoke anot.

wanted to go kpool play pool but one hour 10.80.

wtf sia.

in the end we all left together.

n decided to find a 24hour lan shop.

walk walk walk, somehow we managed to find a lan shop somewhere in orchard. 

by that time it was around 130 i think.

played cs for 1hr 15mins.

then choy, yuanhao, amir, terance n i got sian-ed and left the rest of the guys at 245.

decided to cab back to amir's house.

there were 5 of us.

but apparently, there was this rule that taxis could only accomodate 4 ppl.

n EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TAXI IN ORCHARD ROAD DID NOT WANT TO DO OUR BUSINESS EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS BLOODY MIDNIGHT CHARGE WHICH WAS SO PROFITABLE FOR THEM.

245 started to get cabs.

cabs were everywhere, parked along orchard. outside orchard plaza there.

n all didnt want to do our business.

so i called comfort cab.

asked for a taxi which could accomodate 5 ppl.

can sia!

pro stuff.

then when d taxi come, is those only can take 4 ppl type =.=

so the uncle left. n we were left stranded along orchard road.

wakao how sia. 

didnt want to take 2 cabs as it was damn bloody expensive.

so tried to act kelian and asked cabs.

still dunwan. 

so yuanhao called smrt cab this time.

n they said "ok a taxi will be coming in 5mins"

n finally, after ONE HOUR of waiting for cab, a pro cab came.

damn zai sia. 7 seater cab.

amir sat in front, choy n yuanhao sat in the middle, terance n i sat at the back.

damn shiok damn relaxing.

n d taxi play soothing music somemore. damn ez sleep. haha.

n got 5 air freshners in the taxi sia.

so taxi ride was from 345 to 4.

but split cost liao one person 5bucks, not too bad lah.

back at amir's house, played ps, computer, taitee.

didnt gamble lah.

then around 5plus, one by one all went to sleep.

i played com until 615.

then went to sleep too. damn sian.

slept in the middle of yuanhao n terance.

ok damn gay haha.

woke up at 930.

slacked around. played com. playstation.

n apparently, yuanhao said i hugged him lah wtf =.=

n i almost pushed him off the bed lmao.

ate breakfast at amir's house.

his mum's a real good cook man.

d scrambled egg like macdonalds.

n pancake put honey liao also like macs.

damn pro bkfast.

n the milo beng damn solid.

left amir's house at around 1145.

went to white sands for lunch.

went to banquet =.=

ate wanton mee. 

didnt taste good at all.

after that yuanhao went back by mrt.

amir by bus.

terance, choy n i cabbed back to hougang.

worth it lah, since we were all so tired. lol.

n kopi beng damn pro sia.

today another one.

now i dont feel tired at all. :D
